Time and place prepositions
TIME:
AT: at the weekend, at night, at dinner, at breakfast, at + times (eg. at 7:30h), at Easter, at Christmas.
We use "at" for moments of the day, meals, times, well known events of the year.
ON: On Monday, the 11 on June, On Monday morning.
We use "on" to talk about days, dates and days + moments of the day
IN: In the morning, in five minutes, in July, in the 1980, in Summer, in the past, in the future.
We use "in" to talk about parts of the day, duration, months, years, seasons and in expresions as "in the past" or "in the future".
NO PREPOSITION: Today, tomorrow, yesterday, expressions which starts with "next", "last" or "this".
PLACE:
AT: Particular point in a city or in an place (Eg. I wait for you at the Hospital, at the entrance, at the cinema, at home...).
IN: inside of an enclosed area or place which has limits: In the cinema, in Spain, in Barcelona. The idea of being inside is very strong.
ON: On the top of/ idea of surface: On the World (it is not inside, but in the surface) or line (on the way, on the road, on the coast...)
